Youth Ministry Devotions

When I was a youth pastor I developed G-TRAX Devo’s Youth Ministry devotions because there were no tools in place to keep them in the Bible on a day to day basis. We had great programs geared around camps and retreats, which are a very necessary part of any youth group philosophy. But it was evident that when the students got back to their normal everyday lives they lost the momentum that they had while they were on the retreats. They no longer read the Bible on a regular basis. I talked to several students so that I could understand why this was the case. They told me that there were no structured tools, like the Youth Ministry devotions that are available at Christian book stores, available to them that didn’t cost them money. All youth groups should have free Youth Ministry devotions available to the youth group members.

G-TRAX Devo’s are replete with scripture; The Senior Pastor at my church says that the Bible is the best commentary on the Bible. Commentaries are very useful and necessary but are not “inspired of God” like the Bible so the more scripture is used to verify other scripture the more accurate the lessons and the applications of the lessons are. Writing accurate lessons true to Scripture ways heavily on me as I write them and I believe the lessons are in these Youth Ministry devotions bare out that burden. My heart’s desire is to see this website go worldwide and touch thousands of lives.
